Custom tuning workflow
Create Custom Tunings with AI
StroboPro is a custom tuning app for musicians who use more than standard presets. Describe the tuning you want, copy notes from a real instrument, edit the result, then save and share it.
Open StroboPro
Generate a tuning with AI

Signed-in StroboPro web users can open the AI tuning editor and describe a tuning in ordinary language. Try prompts such as:
- Drop D for six-string guitar
- Open G for slide guitar
- A seven-string tuning for modern metal
- A low tuning for a five-string bass
- A custom tuning for an instrument with unusual string names
The generated tuning is a starting point. Review the notes, change any values, and save the version that matches your instrument.
Copy the tuning from your instrument
Do not know the note names? Use Listen to note. StroboPro listens while you strum or play a note on your instrument and lets you copy that pitch into the tuning editor. This is useful for instruments with an unknown setup, experimental tunings, and instruments that do not fit a standard preset.

Edit every note
Custom tuning is not limited to guitar. Add or remove notes, rename the tuning, adjust individual pitches, and use the strobe display to check the result. StroboPro supports guitar, bass, ukulele, piano, violin, mandolin, banjo, and user-defined instruments.
Save and share the result
When your tuning is ready, save it to your account and share it with another musician. A teacher can prepare a tuning before a lesson. A band can use one shared tuning for a song. A player can keep a library of alternate tunings without rebuilding them each time.
Who needs a custom tuning app?
- Guitarists using DADGAD, open G, open D, or drop tunings
- Bassists using five-string, six-string, or low extended-range setups
- Teachers assigning the same tuning to a class
- Luthiers and technicians checking unusual instruments
- Composers and performers experimenting with new string layouts

Can I share a custom tuning?
Yes. Save the tuning and use StroboPro sharing to send it to another musician or student.
Does AI tuning generation work on the web?
Signed-in users can use AI tuning generation in the StroboPro web app. Usage limits and sign-in are enforced when the request is sent.
