Why StroboPro is more than a standard chromatic (needle) tuner
StroboPro is the product of more than 15 years of original tuner development. It first works out which note is being played, then compares the pitch of that note and each of its overtones against an internal reference, continuously rather than averaged. You'll be able to see each independent harmonic ring, while configurable filtering balances stability and responsiveness.

What an online tuner is
StroboPro is an online tuner that listens through your browser mic and tells you whether your instrument is sharp or flat. Allow the mic, play a note, and follow the reading.
Instead of a bouncing needle, StroboPro shows a multi-harmonic strobe. The harmonic rings move to show how far the note is from the target. You see the fundamental and several overtones at once.

Why a strobe reads steadier than a needle
A needle tuner reduces the whole sound to one number, and that number bobs around while the overtones settle. A strobe display shows you the settling itself: the harmonic rings drift while the note is out and lock steady when it is in, so your eye does the averaging instead of a flickering digit.
That makes the biggest difference on instruments with rich or inharmonic overtones - wound strings, low brass, bass, piano - where a single pitch value never quite agrees with itself. You watch the fundamental and several overtones agree at once.

A few practical tips for mic-based tuning:
- Use a quiet room when you can. Background fan and HVAC noise confuses cheap needle tuners; StroboPro's strobe is more forgiving, but a quiet room still helps.
- A wired pickup or an instrument cable into a USB interface gives the cleanest signal, and is what most pros use for intonation setup.
- Avoid Bluetooth input for tuning. It adds latency and compresses the audio, which smears the fundamental.
Most laptops and phones have a usable built-in mic. For home practice the default mic is usually enough. On stage, reach for a cable.
